Monster High: The Movie (2022) ##HOT##
In multiple scenes, this pic plays with some comedically violent horror-movie tropes. From a headmistress who can remove her head to a snack machine filled with Jellied Newt Eyes and Full Moon Pie treats, the scary sides of a monster world are rendered colorful and cute.
Monster High: The Movie (2022)
The press release notes that additional fan-favorite characters from the Monster High universe will also be seen throughout the TV movie. An official synopsis reads, "Monster High follows Clawdeen Wolf, who was born half human and half werewolf, after she arrives at her new school, Monster High. She quickly makes friends with her classmates Frankie Stein and Draculaura, and for the first time in her life, Clawdeen feels like she has finally found a place where she fits in and can truly be herself, despite keeping her human half a secret. When a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her real identity, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and find a way to save the day."
Nickelodeon is teaming up with Mattel for its latest spooky fare as they announced production on a live-action television movie musical based on the Monster High franchise about the children of famous monsters and creatures.
The movie follows Clawdeen Wolf, a half-human, half-werewolf who attends Monster High, a boarding school for descendants of famous monsters, which will only admit those who have a true monster heart. Struggling to keep her human side a secret, Clawdeen and her new ghoulfriends Frankie Stein and Draculaura discover a heinous plot which could not only destroy the school, but could also reveal her true identity. When all starts to unravel, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and help the other monsters save the day.
Following the Monster High: The Movie trailer, Nickelodeon has released an official music video for a brand-new song featured in the film titled "Three Of Us." The video is just a taste of what's to come for Monster High fans this October, and if the vibes are any indication of the rest of the movie it's going to be tons of spooktacular fun. Though character details haven't been disclosed, it seems like the main "ghouls" are inspired by the original characters, but have been re-imagined for a new generation to celebrate authenticity, expression and acceptance. In the music video Draculaura (Nayah Damasen) holds up her spell book (Draculaura practices magic now!) and admits to Clawdeen (Miia Harris) and Frankie (Ceci Balagot) that she never thought she'd meet other monsters who were supportive of her practicing magic.
Monster High: The Movie, adapted to the screen by Eureka!'s Billy and Matt Eddy, as well as Jenny Jaffe, invites fans to the enchanting and spooky Monster High, a boarding school for the next generation of classic horror monsters. Complete with themed dorm rooms for all the various colorful and fashionable monster kiddos, the feature-length movie follows Clawdeen Wolf, a half human, half wolf, as she enters the monster realm for the first time to attend. Fans get to see the ghouls meet up for the first time, making friends and frenemies along the way, with catchy musical numbers throughout. From the trailer, we find out that the number one threat to monster-kind is humans and that, somehow, an "untrue monster heart" has infiltrated Monster High! Clawdeen will have to join forces with her friends, and find the power within herself and her own true monster heart, to save the school from being destroyed from within.
