Transexual Girl 01

Nicole Maines, a trans girl, took a case to Maine's supreme court in June 2013. She argued that being denied access to her high school's women's restroom was a violation of Maine's Human Rights Act; one state judge has disagreed with her,[154] but Maines won her lawsuit against the Orono school district in January 2014 before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.[155] On May 14, 2016, the United States Department of Education and Department of Justice issued guidance directing public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms that match their gender identities.[156]

The light blue is the traditional color for baby boys, pink is for girls, and the white in the middle is for "those who are transitioning, those who feel they have a neutral gender or no gender", and those who are intersex. The pattern is such that "no matter which way you fly it, it will always be correct. This symbolizes us trying to find correctness in our own lives."[258]

There is a common perception amongst those who have given it little thought, that gender is a social construct, whilst biological sex is solid and rigid and fixed and binary and scientific. Those who wish to attack and marginalise trans girls like my daughter, like to argue that her biological sex is male, as though that is a scientific fact.

Of course my daughter has some biological differences to the average cisgender girl. Trans girls are in some ways biologically different to cis girls. No one is denying that or would ever want to deny that.

Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympian turned reality show celebrity who announced her bid for California governor last month, declared her first policy position Saturday, and it is squarely in-line with her Republican base. The most famous transgender athlete in the world is opposed to transgender girls playing sports according to their gender identity.

Sonia Maribel Sontay Herrera is an indigenous woman and human rights defender from Guatemala where systematic discrimination against indigenous women has gone on for decades. Herrera has felt the consequences of these historical injustices since she was a girl.

Methods: Six transfemale peri-pubertal girls had knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with T1-weighted images and single-voxel proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). BMD measurements were obtained via dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Questionnaires about physical activity, diet, and the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) were completed. The T2 relaxation rate of water (R2 = 1/T2 in s -1) was correlated with scores on surveys. 041b061a72
